The Powerball Lottery draw was conducted on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 and had a jackpot of $93 million that came with a cash option of $46.7 million.

Jackpot winner

The winning numbers that were drawn in Saturday night’s Powerball lottery drawing were 07, 28, 52, 63 and 64, while 10 was the red Powerball number and 3x was the Power Play.

There was one lucky player from Kansas who turned out to be the winner of the jackpot in the Powerball drawing on Saturday night, as they were able to match all six numbers needed for landing the prize.

It should be noted that this is the first jackpot to have been won in the Powerball lottery since the ticket holder from California won the record jackpot amount of $2.04 billion.

The details

Now that the player from Kansas has landed the big prize, they have the option of claiming their winnings as a lump sum, which as mentioned earlier, have a cash value of $46.7 million.

This is due to the taxes that are applicable on the prize, depending on their jurisdiction.

If not, there is also the option of opting for an annuity, which would mean receiving one payment right away and then 29 annual payments, with each increasing by 5%.

Before the Powerball lottery drawing on Saturday, there were six jackpots that had been won in the game so far this year. This makes it the seventh jackpot to have been won in 2022.

Other prizes

Apart from the grand prize winner in the Powerball lottery drawing on Saturday night, there was also one lucky player from Illinois, who managed to match all the five numbers in the draw, but now the Powerball.

Therefore, they were able to win a prize of $1 million, rather than the jackpot. Had they decided to buy the Power Play option with their ticket, they would have seen their prize increase to $3 million.

Next drawing

The next drawing of the Powerball lottery is now scheduled to be held on Monday, November 21st, 2022 and since the jackpot has been claimed, it will now restart.

This means that the jackpot for Monday night’s Powerball lottery drawing will now begin at $20 million and it will come with a cash value of $10.2 million.

Meanwhile a couple from Maryland claimed their Powerball winnings of $100,008 from the November 2nd drawing.

They were able to land the prize after they changed their routine. The man said that it was usually his wife who bought the tickets.

But, she had not gotten around to it, so he had purchased the tickets from Steve’s Deli. He checked the tickets the next day and found he had won $8 and $100,000.

His wife thought they had won $50,000, but since he opted for the Power Play, their prize had doubled to $100,000.

They did not have any immediate plans for their prize, but would probably take a vacation.
