A mystery admin worker in Lanarkshire has bagged a lotto win of about £2 million. The woman is known only as Miss M and she has already spent some of her winnings on a house. She used the National Lottery app for purchasing her Lucky Dip ticket and she was lucky enough to match six main numbers in the draw in July.

She is the second big winner in the same month from Lanarkshire. Known only as Mr W, a man had scooped up a prize of £10,000 a month for a whole year.

Playing online through the app or the website means that your ticket will be checked and you will be notified via email if you have won a prize.

Andy Carter from Camelot congratulated Miss M on winning the great prize. He said that it had taken her only a couple of taps to become a millionaire overnight and she could now enjoy her new home.

Thanks to people who are playing the National Lottery, around £600 million is being utilized for supporting the most vulnerable communities in the United Kingdom in the midst of this coronavirus pandemic.

By participating in the National Lottery, a sum of £30 million is raised on a weekly basis on average and these funds are used for big and small projects across the country.

In order to support people through the COVID-19 crisis, hundreds of millions of pounds is being distributed to local voluntary organizations and charities over the next couple of months.
