The Powerball Lottery drawing was held on Monday, November 21st, 2022 and had a jackpot of $20 million that came with a cash option of $10.2 million.
No jackpot winner
The winning numbers that were drawn on Monday night in the Powerball lottery were 01, 06, 40, 51 and 67, with 2 being the red Powerball number and 2x was the Power Play.
Unfortunately, there were no players who were able to match the six numbers that were drawn on Monday night, which means the jackpot will not be claimed.
Instead, it will roll over for the next drawing of the Powerball lottery, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022 and will now have a $30 million jackpot that comes with a cash option of $15.3 million.
Other winners
Even though there were no grand prize winners in Monday night’s drawing of the Powerball lottery, there were other players who did win prizes.
One of the Powerball lottery players managed to become an instant millionaire. A lucky player from Texas won a $1 million prize after hitting the Match 5.
But, the player did not buy the Power Play option with their ticket for an additional $1 that would have seen their winnings double to $2 million.
There were also four lucky players who were able to hit the Match 4 and the Powerball number in the Powerball drawing on Monday night.
This meant that they were able to win prizes of $50,000 each. Apart from that, there were also three lucky players who not only hit the Match 4 and the Powerball number, but also opted for the Power Play option.
Therefore, they were able to double their prize from $50,000 to $100,000. There were a total of 261,300 tickets that were able to win prizes in Monday night’s drawing of the Powerball lottery on all levels.
The total value of prizes that were won by these tickets was around $2.9 million.
Ticket to expire
Meanwhile, there is a Powerball lottery ticket worth $2 million, which is yet to be claimed and is going to expire on December 15th this year.
The ticket had been bought for the June 18th drawing of the Powerball lottery in Russiaville at the McClure Oil, which is on 670 E. Main Street.
The lottery prize should be claimed by December 15th, or it will expire. Players are usually given 180 days to claim their prize after the drawing.
The Powerball lottery is available in 45 states, along with Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
The draws are held three times in a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
