A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Canandaigua, the New York Lottery announced Thursday.
The third prize ticket for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing was sold at Tops Markets, 5150 North Road in Canandaigua. The winning numbers for the drawing were 5, 28, 33, 38, 42 and Powerball 19.
To win $50,000, the player must match four of five numbers plus the Powerball number, according to lottery officials.
The ticket was one of 100,989 winning tickets sold across the state.
The winners may redeem their tickets at Finger Lakes Gaming, 5857 Route 96 in Farmington, or at Batavia Downs Gaming, 8315 Park Road in Batavia.
The tickets may be redeemed at any of the New York Lottery’s customer service centers throughout the state. The Syracuse office is located at 620 Erie Blvd. West in Syracuse.
